The Phone Line: Counseling and Referrals
When you call Pregnancy Helpline at 608-222-0008, you will find a caring and compassionate listener on the other end of the line. Our trained lay counselors are non-judgmental and are solely interested in helping you through this confusing time. We have over 250 referral sources to help ease the pain and confusion you may be experiencing. Please call our line. We are here to help.
The Sharing Center
In keeping with our commitment to help families after the birth, we offer our Sharing Center Services. Women and men may visit our Sharing Center on one Saturday per month from 10 AM to 1 PM and receive maternity or children's clothing (up to 3T), diapers and formula free of charge. The Center, however, is closed on all holiday weekends. Click here for more information.
The Crib Sharing Program
Pregnancy Helpline offers families the opportunity to Share A Crib with members of the community. Our volunteers not only deliver and set up the crib for the families, they also remove it from the family's home, allowing us to share it with other families in need. This service is available for a $10 refundable fee
The Layette Program
One of the most fun programs we offer is our Layette Program. New moms who contact us are given a Layette filled with new items for the baby. These items include baby blankets, outfits, bottles, some books and toys, and miscellaneous items donated to the Helpline. Volunteers who deliver these items to the moms say their faces simply light up at the beautiful presentation.
Breastfeeding Coaching
In an effort to promote better nutrition and independence for mom and baby, Pregnancy Helpline strongly promotes the benefits of breastfeeding. Women looking for advice on nursing their infants are encouraged to call us for assistance. We have trained personnel available to work with moms to help them be more comfortable with the breastfeeding process.
